The park is 4.5 hours from the Twin Cities 3. You can bring your own boat or rent one but note the entire park is accessible only by boat 4. It’s home the Ellsworth Rock Garden featuring countless pieces of plant made entirely of stone that took over 20 years to build 7. This may be the most popular national park for fishing 8. You can camp on your own island, Voyageurs National Park has 147 front country, 14 backcountry and 2 primitive campsites for visitors 9. There are 27 day use sites and 7 visitor destinations that have short trails and do not include water transportation 10. I’ve said it before but it’s the best place in the state to watch sunset (see the first clip) Because of the vastness of this park, you will need to bring in and out everything you need when you’re boating.
